Pastor John Booted Off Survivor

SURVIVOR: THAILAND has arrived, and after a tension-filled Tribal Council on night 3, John Raymond, the 40-year-old pastor from Slidell, Louisiana, was voted out of the Tribe, six votes to two. John was caught off guard by the vote and became the first person voted out of SURVIVOR: THAILAND. As his torch was extinguished, John gave his final words, "Well, I get the distinguished honor of being the first one voted out of [SURVIVOR: THAILAND]; this is quite a surprise for me. I didn't think there were any alliances on the team, but I guess there was, and I just wasn't a part of it."

Episode 2: "The Great Divide"

Tanya spilled her guts one time to many!

After an emotional Tribal Council on night 6, Tanya Vance, 27-year-old social worker from Kingsport, Tennessee, was voted out of the tribe in a 5 -2 vote. Having never acclimated to her harsh surroundings and battling dehydration, Tanya found her time on the island challenging. The Chuay Gahn family struggled with their decision to vote Tanya out of the tribe, but she eventually became the second consecutive Chuay Gahn tribe member to be voted out of SURVIVOR: THAILAND. Upon leaving Tribal Council, Tanya looked back on her time spent on the island: "This has been the opportunity of a lifetime. I am not mad at anyone of you for picking me, and I just love everyone of you."

Episode 3: "Family Values"

JED HILDEBRAND "EXTRACTED"

After a dramatic Tribal Council, Jed Hildebrand, the free-spirited, yet headstrong, 25-year-old dental student from Dallas, Texas, was voted out of the tribe in a 5-3 vote. Perceived by many in his tribe to be lazy, Jed became the first person voted out of the Sook Jai tribe. After his flame was extinguished, Jed gave his final words, "Anytime you go to Tribal Council, your head is on the chopping block. I hope that everyone takes a step back and enjoys the beauty of Thailand and the awesomeness of this experience."

Episode 4: "Gender Bender"

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME: GHANDIA JOHNSON SENT PACKING

On night twelve, after a revealing Tribal Council, Ghandia Johnson, the 33-year-old legal secretary from Denver, Colorado, was voted out of her tribe 4-2. Ghandia accused Ted Rogers of having made inappropriate ual advances toward her, and she fought to win the consensus of the other females in pursuit of voting him out of Chuay Gahn and off the island. However, it was Helen Glover's swing vote that ultimately cast Ghandia off the island. As Ghandia exited Tribal Council, she gave her final words: "I made a big mistake of trying to play one side against the other, but unfortunately the evil Ghandia came to rue her ugly head and the good Ghandia just couldn't stop her."

Episode 5: "The Ocean's Surprise"

SOOK JAI STUNG: STEPHANIE DILL VOTED OUT

After a tense Tribal Council, Stephanie Dill, the strong-willed 29-year-old fire fighter from Fayettville, Arkansas, was voted out of the tribe in a 5-2 vote. Stephanie, who had alienated herself from the tribe by sleeping alone near the fire, agitated her tribe mates with her fiercely independent personality. Trying to fit in with the tribe during the last few days, Stephanie found it was too little, too late. As her torch was extinguished, she gave her final words, "I just want to say that I loved my time here with you guys and look forward to being with you when we get back home. I'll hold no grudges against any of you."

Episode 6: "The Power of One"

"DUDE, WHERE'S MY TRIBE?" ROBB ZBACNIK VOTED OUT

After a pressure filled Tribal Council on Night 18, Robb Zbacnik, the outspoken, skateboarding, 23-year-old bartender from Scottsdale, Arizona, was voted out of the tribe in a 5-1 vote. Robb had irritated his tribe by eating from their store of bananas without consulting the group. In his final days, Robb's attitude turned around as he came to embrace his experiences on the Island and came to terms with his tribemates. As Robb exited Tribal Council, he gave his final words, "I would like to embrace this moment and tell everybody how thankful I am. The game has forever broadened my horizons."

Episode 7: "Assumptions"

TOO MANY ASSUMPTIONS: SHII ANN HUANG VOTED OUT

On night 21, after an eye-opening Tribal Council, Shii Ann Huang, the 28-year-old executive recruiter from New York City, was voted out of the Sook Jai tribe 4 votes to 1. After the two tribes moved to the same beach, Shii Ann and the others had assumed that a merge had occurred. She considered jumping ship on her Sook Jai tribe members and forming a voting block with Chuay Gahn. However, her plans were foiled as the castaways' assumptions were once again proven wrong, and the two tribes remained separate. After her torch was extinguished, Shii Ann gave her final words: "Well, I committed the classic error of plotting and scheming too much. This has been a humbling experience for me and has been really fun."

Episode 8: "Sinking Fast"

FIRST JURY MEMBER SELECTED: ERIN COLLINS VOTED OUT

After an emotional Tribal Council, the 26-year-old real estate agent from Austin, Texas was voted out of the Sook Jai tribe 3-1. After 24 days of living together in the harsh Thai environment, the Sook Jai tribe bond grew stronger in the final days, making the vote even more difficult. Erin becomes the eighth member of SURVIVOR: THAILAND to be voted off the island and the first member of the Jury. She will return every three days to observe Tribal Council and will ultimately vote for the winner of the million-dollar prize and the title of Sole Survivor. After her torch was extinguished, Erin gave her Final Words: "I came to Thailand with a small bag and myself, and I leaving with far more than I could have ever expected."

Episode 9: "Desperate Measures"

NYPD BLUES: KEN STAFFORD VOTED OUT

On night 27, Ken Stafford, the 29-year-old New York City police officer, was forced to turn in his buff when he was voted out of the newly formed Chuay Jai tribe in a 5-3 vote. After the two tribes merged, Ken's ting physical presence and charismatic personality posed a threat to the Chuay Gahn tribe members, who banded together to oust the Top Cop. After his torch was extinguished, Ken delivered his Final Words: "This is definitely a life-altering experience. I have learned to appreciate things like never before."

Episode 10: "While the Cats Are Away"

CHUAY JAI ON THE MONEY: PENNY RAMSEY VOTED OUT

On night 30, after a passion-filled Tribal Council, Penny Ramsey, the 27-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative from Plano, Texas, was voted out of the Chuay Jai tribe with four votes against her. After turning her back on her former ally Jake Billinglsey, the majority of former Chuay Gahn members banded together to help extinguish her torch. Penny will return every three days to observe Tribal Council as the third member of the Jury that will ultimately vote for who will win the million-dollar prize and the title Sole Survivor. After leaving the Tribal Council area, Penny reflected on her time spent on the island: "Well, I definitely wasn't ready to leave the game, but I came out here knowing I was one of 16 and I wanted to see how far I could get, and I am very proud of myself."

Episode 11: "A Big Surprise... and Another"

ALL IN THE FAMILY: JAKE BILLINGSLEY VOTED OUT

On night 33, after an emotional three days of surprise visits from their loved ones, the Chuay Jai tribe said goodbye to Jake Billingsley, the 61-year-old land broker from McKinney, Texas. Jake, the last remaining member of Sook Jai, found himself facing a tight group of former Chuay Gahn members, and he could not negotiate his way in. Voted out of the tribe 5-1, Jake becomes the fourth member of the Jury that returns to the island every three days to observe Tribal Council and will ultimately vote for who will be the Sole Survivor. Upon leaving the Tribal Council area, Jake looked back on his memorable experience on the island, "When one door shuts, another one always opens. I had such a grand experience here. I'll go back to Texas and I'll be the happiest guy in the world."

Episode 12: "The Tides Are Turning"

BIG TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE: TED ROGERS VOTED OUT

On night 36, after a dynamic Tribal Council, Ted Rogers, the 37-year-old software developer from Durham, North Carolina, was voted out of the Chuay Jai tribe. Perceived as a mental and physical threat, Ted was ousted in a 4-1 vote. Ted, a member of the original Chuay Gahn tribe, will join the Jury that will ultimately vote for who will win the million dollar prize and the title of Sole Survivor.After having his torch extinguished, Ted left the island in good spirits as he noted, "This has been a long, wonderful trip. I was truly blessed to make it this far."

Episode 13: "Survivor Thailand" - 2 hour finale

The Ultimate Winner is Brian

Returning to camp after Tribal Council, where Ted Rogers was voted out of the tribe, the Final Four Survivors wearily recapped the night's event. "The last Tribal Council was a bit harder because it was the beginning of the realization that each one of us was going to have to go," explained Jan Gentry, the 53-year-old schoolteacher from Tampa, Florida. Anticipating the difficult choices they would have to make during the final three days on the island, Helen Glover, the 47-year-old Navy swim instructor from Middletown, Rhode Island, revealed, "At this level of the game it becomes cutthroat. I expect the next couple of days to be very stressful."


After 39 days on a physical and mental roller coaster, Brian Heidik, the 34-year-old used car salesman from Quartz Hill, California, won a majority of the Jury's votes, earning him the title of SOLE SURVIVOR and giving him the million-dollar prize. After a tension-packed deliberation process where the Jury questioned, and sometimes grilled, the remaining two, the verdict was finally reached in a tight 4-3 vote in favor of Brian, who outwitted, outplayed and outlasted all the rest to win SURVIVOR: THAILAND.
